Bag-in-box packaging is designed to store and transfer liquids. The rough bladder is made of multiple metallic film layers and is placed inside a hard carton box. The bladder can be filled with chilled product temperatures up to 85 degrees Celsius. The usage of this particular packaging provides many assets for both our company and our customers. To begin with, it protects the olive oil from deterioration factors, such as light, oxygen, and moisture, in order to maintain all its nutritional and organoleptic properties. The bag remains closed inside the box while the little tap on the bottom adjusts the flow and prevents the air from entering the packaging during dispensing. Thus, the content stays uncontaminated. The bag and tap work together to prolong the shelf life before and after the pack is opened.
Bag-in-box is, in fact, a double packaging; It comprises of a bag made of a special material suitable for food and of an outer cardboard box where all the basic indications, dictated by the European Legislation, are listed.
